Daniel was born in 1963 in Tienen and attended the art academy "Stedelijke Academie voor Schone Kunsten" in Aarschot and the "Stedelijke Academie voor Beeldende Kunst" in Tienen.We can label him a "world traveller". Ten years of his life he almost permanently spent abroad. He visited most of the European countries, stayed three months in India, six months in several African countries (Kenya, Tanzania, Central African Republic, Congo, Morocco …), four months in various states of America and three years in the Scandinavian countries. Few museums in the countries visited remained unexplored. He took the opportunity to follow workshops with local artists.
The term "world traveller" does not mean that we will be overwhelmed with exotic sculptures. He appears to be able to turn the ordinary into something particular.
His enormous interest in art in the past, could only express itself in sculptures.
Those who open themselves to the dynamism, strength and harmony of his sculptures will be able to draw energy from them.
Lead by his multicultural background, he looks forward to a hopeful future.
